Default thunderheader heat shields on street bob?

hey guys, i just ordered a second Harley, a 2013 street bob. decided I'm going with thunderheaders. for those of you with that exhaust, do you run the heat shields? do they make the exhaust look kinda off? i've looked for pics and i didn't see one that looks great where the pipe turns 2int1. do you use all 3 shields or just 2 on the actual headers. if any of you have pics and/or recommendations please let me know before I order my pipes

I only installed the two upper heat shields , to cover up the pipes that started turning colors. its looks good.

I've thought this whole time I was going to get my thunderheaders ceramic coated (because I think the thunderheader heat shields are ugly) but recently I just decided to just use exhaust wrap, if that "look" is what you are into.

I have a thunderheader on my super glide I bought wrap along with it but never put it on, I've heard of people cracking theirs from excessive heat caused by the wrap, I don't know how true it is, I run mine bare and haven't had any problems with them since it tucks in pretty nicely, I love this exhaust.

I have a black Thunderheader so no worry about blue discoloration, but I do run the heat shields. Never really gave it a thought as to whether they make the exhaust look "off", so I guess to my eye they look fine.

I ran mine wrapped for several years and got tired of re painting and re wrapping it so I got the heat shields but just the "top" two.I think that one that covers where the pipes come together does look "off" Here's a pic of mine with just the top heat shields
