Default 2012 street bob rear fender on 2007 street bob?

I just bought a 2012 street bob rear fender with original rear light. Isn't it pretty much just a bolt off - bolt on job? Are there any mismatch with holes, wireing etc, that i should know off?

The fender itself will bolt straight on, the wiring for the lights is different. There's an electrical card for your lights that the main harness goes in and then the brake and turns come off of. The 2012 brake light is LED and the wiring is set up. I went the other way; 2011 fender for an older fender and had to swap some wiring around. I ended up chopping the fender and getting rid of the center brake light.

Ok do i just need to modify the connecters? Maybe build the wiring from the new led light to the connector from the old light? Or do i need resistors and stuff?

Shouldn't need any resistors, I believe the stock LED assembly has that all built in. If I remember correctly the connector under your seat that goes out to the rear fender is the same. Then from there it changes because the new street bob's turn signals are also run/brake lights. If you have a service manual you might have to look at the wiring diagram.

This is how the connector looks on the 2012 fender.. Is itsimmilar to the 2007? Would i maybe be better of buying then 2012 blinkers or does that require a new blinker module to get them working as brakesignal rear light? Or am i just able to connect my old blinkers and use them as regular turn signals?

Well you could always just hook it up to see what happens. Best case scenario you'll have to switch over your amber bulbs/lenses from the 2007. The newer ones have a different module for the run/turn/brake signals.

Thx for the answer chris. I will have to try it this weekend. All i want is the run/brake light in the new style taillight, and the regular yellow/orange signal flashing. No run/brake light in the signals. I really hope that it will be easy. Dont know if my 2007 signal connectors will fit the connecters on the harness from the 2012 taillight? Anyone tryed this swab.

I am from denmark in europe so forgive me for bad english. If someone has an answer please explayn very thoroughly...

Even the connector doesn't fit, just swap the pins and use the existing socket. I don't see a problem.

Forgive me if i am stupid or bad at explaining and understanding but i am thinking that on the 2012 there would be more sires for the signals as they are allso run/stop light and maybe the connector on a 2012 wouldnhave more sockets than the 2007 who is just a simple signal.. So maybe the plastic connector would'nt fit each other?different types etc? Anyway thx for your answer.
