Default HD 1/4 fairing question

Got the HD 1/4 fairing on the way and was wondering if I have to remove the black headlight visor to install the fairing or does it just stay on there?

Its a 2000 FXDX.

Thanks

You shouldn't need to modify. They are not the best fit in the world and some aftermarket options do fit more flush. Check the instruction leaflet and use all the parts supplied.

The visor you're talking about holds the headlight on. If you take it off the headlight will come off with it. The blot connecting the two is under the plug in the top of the visor.
