Default tank change start problem

Hey I changed the tank on my 05 super glide to a street bob tank. Put a gallon of gas in it started right up but then coughed a little and shut off. Now it won't start. Gonna try again but seeing if there is something I might be missing that someone has seen before. Thanks

I assumed you transferred the guts from the fxdi tank? Recheck your electrical/ fuel connections. Verify no blown fuse. Last, check your fuel filter in the tank. My bike fired up when I did the conversion without any issues.
Good luck

Make sure you put the fuse back in for the fuel pump. (if you depressurized the tank)
Also make sure the quick disconect for the fuel actually clicks in. Sometimes you might think you have it connected but it really isn't.

I just changed tanks and had similar problems.

Check the fuel hose in the tank. Its just a thin plastic hose. There is a thicker aftermarket version. Also check where it connects to the tank. If you pop off the other end where it goes to the motor, you should get fuel to flow out of it, if not, may be the problem, assuming the fuel pump is working.
