To go along with the way too many oil threads, let's hear what kind of gas do you use? Octane? Manufacturer preference? Do you use an octane booster?

I prefer Chevron when I can find a station up here, but Bob seems to run good on Shell premium 91. I just hate Shell's pumps, they never shut off properly, always seem to splash on the tank.

If they sold a higher octane up here I would use it.

Any 91 will do...

 

Nitrogen: 20-90%
Hydrogen: 0-50% (flammable)
Carbon dioxide: 10-30%
Oxygen: 0-10%

On a serious note, any 91 from the major billionaire companies, I try to stay away from the off brand gas stations. Dont know if it makes a difference or not, just what I prefer.

 

I try and find without ethanol if possible. It is getting harder every day. However I still run 91 octane, no booster and occasionally dump a little bit of Sea Foam in the tank to keep things clean.

 

Mine works best on mid-grade + 10% grain feed. 04 compression ration is lower then most, and it's level around here. The 10% make the exhaust smell like popcorn and the pop adds at least 10 hp.

 

My gasoline always supreme.

 

91 ethanol free, most 92 or higher has ethanol.

 

93 all over the place here. I have used 91 but look for 93.

 

Non oxygenated when possible otherwise 91 or higher

 

I always pick the highest available, usually 91, sometimes 94. I've used Shell the longest time just for the easy pay key-tag. I don't have to pull my credit card at the pump, that's all lol!
