Default Spay painted my Fat bob with VHT wrinkle paint

Hi guys,
I wanted to show you the results.

Removed the main fuse (always the best thing to do).

Horn cover removal, easy job..

Getting the console off was trickier, no big deal however. Just be careful not to scratch the tank by putting a towel between both tank and console.

Remove speedo by slipping rings out of the holder with screwdriver. Take your time, don't break the plastic lids!

Death to chrome! After sanding it looks like this.

WTF, shiny clear paint?

No worries, just a few hours later paint starts to wrinkle..

After 4 hours: the real deal!

Ready for baking

After 1 hour in the oven..

And voilą, my new console, horn cover and air-filter cover

Thumbs up for these guys!

Good job, seems easy enough, and looks great. BTW you may need to have your gas cap calibrated... the "1" looks crooked

Nice write up.

Where did you get that power port adapter and bracket that attaches to your horn cover?

Curing Wrinkle Plus

VHT Wrinkle Plus only attains its unique properties after correct curing.
  • Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 20 minutes.
  • The inherent heat of engine operation will also accomplish curing.
