Anyone do a lowering of their wide glide and now have issues with the kickstand being too long? Picked up my bike after doing somethings (1 being lowering it with progressive shocks) and was trying to figure out what was wrong. Then I realized it was almost straight up when resting on the kickstand... Tip over possibly???? Is there a way to shorten the kickstand or angle it out more???

 

Lots of threads talk about this, the under $50 being one. But short answer is yes. I got a 1" shorter stand from ebay. You can get them from JP Cycle and Dennis Kirk I believe. The under $50 thread talks about how you can mod you OEM stand to increase the lean angle. I lkke the shorter stand cause its easier to extend and kick back. Still have to rock the bike to the right...

Our wide glide was lowered front and rear. Using a 1 inch lowered jiffy stand.
I still have to lean the bike a lot to the right to get it to come down.
shorter stand will help a lot.

 

I have a 13 WG and threw Burly on both front and rear. I rock a -1 from Drag Specialty
