Default tranny gunk

Hi guys n gals!
Listen there was a thread a couple of years back and I looked for it ( trust me) about some stuff to put in the tranny to clean out this grey gunk that I noticed in there last time I did a three hole fluid change. Does anyone know what the stuff was? I don't think it was sea foam that is for something else. I'm about to do a fluid change but would like to know what that stuff is so I can use some.

Looks like cappuccino? If so, then that's due to condensation inside the engine. Common over the winter and into spring.

Does no harm I know of but looks awful when you first spot it. The first long run of the season usually clears it up.

I found "Grey Mud" in my tranny when I was changing a clutch cable a couple years back..

Had my mechanic look into it a little deeper. Uppon tear-down, he discoverd that the mainshaft bearing had spun in the housing!

The bike was still on ESP so the MoCo covered a full repair/rebuild. (minus a $50 deductable)

Not tryin' to throw up any red flags, just tellin' my story.

The "grey Mud" was settled particles of the alloy from the tranny case.

Hope this helps...

Best wishes....Tim(HT)
