Default Squeak when downshifting

Hello all, I recently changed all my fluids for the summer but despite using the correct grade in the transmission i'm getting a squeak when I downshift from 6th to 5th or 5th to 4th, not so much in the other gears......the squeak comes when the lower gear engages and lasts for a split second. Curiously it doesnt happen every time either, maybe 2 times out of 3...

Its an 06 Dyna, but its definitely not the infamous 5th gear whine as i'm well used with that, but could this squeak be linked to that? Or have I maybe used a dodgy batch of tranny oil??

Upshift is totally smooth, and bike has never run better since I had the inner primary replaced at 15k last summer.

I would change the trans oil again and see if that helps.

What type of fluid did you use? Maybe go to heavier oil.

Notgrownup is probably right. Wash the belt with some warm soapy water.

Give your shift linkage a squirt of lube at the Heim joints.
