Default i want a full rear fender for my 13 streetbob how do i wire the rear brake light?

they have this listed as a 09 streetbob rear fender but doesnt look like a 09 rear fender because the 09 has chopped fender, will this fender work?

I have a 10" SB and I do believe that 10' was the first year of the chopped fender with the donkey d!ck light.

As for you question about the fender and light off a 09' fitting your 12', the fender should fit and bolt right up. As for the light, that I don't know, I believe your bike is on a totally new system. However if you have the service manual, you should be able to compare the wiring schematics of your setup and the setup off the 09' to see if you can get an answer.

Good luck!

You should be able to just extend the wiring harness to the length you need. Get the same gauge wire and solder in splices then heat shrink. Either that, or purchase one for earlier models.

You could use a super glide setup fender and rear harness.

Doesn't the 12' have the new wiring setup that is totally different from the previous years or did that get changed on the 13' models. I read that people have had issues wiring up lights because of the new system.

I did this on a 13 sb and had to get a superglide wiring harness. Easy swap. No codes

Part number on harness and what exactly does the harness hook up to? The signals and the rear tail light? No cutting and splicing?

You'll need to tell us exactly what rear lights you plan on using. Lengthing the current rear fender wiring harness is fairly straight forward but you will need the correct plug to match up with the rear lights you want to install.

I can't remember the part number. My dealer had it in stock. Your '13 should have 3 wires going back under the seat-2 blinkers and the license plate light. They plug into a 3 to 1 harness. Unplug this 3 to 1 harness from the main harness and plug in the super glide harness. It runs back to the light plug(the chrome plastic piece that the super glide tail light screws to) on the super glide tail light. If you are using strut mounted blinkers, they also plug into the tail light plug. I'm sure thats clear as mud. I'll see if I can get some pics.

I just did this same conversion! I have a 13 street bob and used an 07 superglide fender for the swap. You have to buy a 2007 and up superglide wiring harness if the fender doesnt come with it.. Its around $25.00 from your local dealership. Remove the same harness which connects your current tail lights. The new harness plugs right in, not problems, east swap...
