Default 06 SB left lean

My bike has a really annoying left lean going down the road at all speeds. When cruising long trips I like to just keep one hand on the bars which either requires a constant pull on the left grip, or a constant push on the right grip to keep the bike tracking straight. If I take both hands off the bike leans and tracks left, shifting my body significantly to the right side of the seat will keep it tracking straight. Its been an issue for a while but after a 9 hour ride this weekend, I decided its time to do something about it because it hurts my back on those long rides.

I know I've read stuff on here before about fixing it with a new washer in the steering neck. Something like Harley accidentally used a crush washer or something where it needs to be a hardened washer. I did both a google and forum search but cannot find that information any more. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

My bike was doing the same thing. After checking everything the culprit was the fork tubes were off. They should stick .50 above the top triple clamp. Mine was off just a bit. I lined them back up and I'm now straight as an arrow.

Basically you need to do all three. I would start with loosening the fork tubes and set them at the correct height. Next I would align the front tubes in the Triple Trees. Next you need to align the rear end. BTW, inspect the tires for cupping because if you have as little as 500-1000 miles on tires with the alignment out then an incorrectable wear patter has already set in.
Please make sure your Fall Away is set correctly.
