How do you take it off?

You mean the shifter peg? Or the arm the peg is on? The peg should just unscrew off. Might have to use a pair of pliers to get it off.

The bolt on the shifter peg itself has loctite on it. It can be a pain to get off.
Shifter arm. remove the bolt on the squeeze shaft. I use a screw driver to spread it open some and slide it off.
