Triple Tree Removal
This may be a dumb ? but i'm just wondering how to take the whole front end off my bike. its a custom build frame with what i think is a wide glide front end. do you just unscrew the big bolt on top of the neck and the whole front end comes off? I just cant figure it out. it has like a spanner nut under that bolt on top of the top neck bearing. WHAT DO I DO?

Take your forks out first if you haven't yet. The nut on the top just holds the top tree on. The spanner nut underneath the top tree sets the preload for the neck bearings (fallaway adjustment). Take the spanner off and drop the bottom tree out, the stem will come with it.
