Default Spacing shocks out

Does anyone know if there is enough space on the shock bolt to move it out a quarter inch using a spacer? I want to make a bracket that I can put between the shock and strut if it is possible.

I don't know if there is enough space to do that. But for your shocks to work their best they should be perfectly in line vertically from top to bottom.

You will also put more stress on the bolts.

Thanks guys! You both pretty much confirmed what I was thinking, I was just looking for someone else to say it without my bringing it up. Thanks again.
