Default Changing to a FLD/Switchback rear fender on 06 Streetbob, couple ???

Hey guys and gals long time no see, haven't posted on forum because I haven't done any mods in a long time but I do peek in here and there and have to say there are some sweet sleds on the forum I have noticed, great job everyone. well I decided I am going to put a fld/switchback rear fender on my 2006 streetbob and have a couple questions to anyone that has done the switch over on their dyna. I know I need 1/4 spacers for mounting the fender, I have the streetglide light bar/blinkers, but, the question I have is can I use my rear break light and do I have to extend the wiring harness for the brake light? because if so I can do that before my fender arrives and be ready instead of getting half way through the job and have to stop to do something else and lose riding time waiting for something in the mail or etc.. thanks for any info, Jackyl

FLd fender on your bike will look sweet, as for the harness it should be the same length as yours as the rear light sits pretty much the same height, rear light should bolt right up. sure wish I could install that fender on mine, I had to go the roadking fender route as my struts are not wide enough.

When I did the FLD fender I used harness 68770-02B which is the stock harness on the 07 FXDL and FXDB. I got a new harness since the previous owner had hacked the original harness pretty bad doing the turn signal relocation. You should be able to use your existing harness.

For the tailight I bought the base for the switchback, 73380-12. There's a bit of confusion in the parts manual on the PN for the base since it is shown twice in the parts manual with two numbers. The lens, bulb and wiring should work fine with the base you have. I think I read the base from the other Dynas might fit with some grinder action...

The 1/4" spacers are the ones that came on your stock fender
Your stock wire harness is the same
For the tail light you need P/N 73381-12 Tail light base
P/N 5730004 are just spacers the same thickness as you rigid side plates 3/16" that are thrown away with the switchback docking plates
I recomend the these 2 brackets as they help to support weight the rear of the fender/tunn signal bar assy bolts to theses brackets
BRACKET, left fender mount Part No: 57300001
BRACKET, right fender mount Part No: 57300002

You can look up the parts and see what is different here
