Default J&P Lowered kickstand question

So i have a 2010 street bob with a burly slammer kit on it front and rear. Bought a 1" lower stand pn 5300345 from JP cycles. I installed it but in the up position it rests on the primary not against the frame. Any one else have this stand on here? Am i doing something wrong or is that just the way it is?

I ordered that stand and had the same issue. Pretty sure that stand is made for the pre 06 dyna's that had the 5-speed and the shorter primary, even though the site says for all Dyna's. I think the label on the packaging said 99-05.

you can grind a bit off the tab that will allow the lowered bike to sit at a better angle, but without re-bending the stand you will need to lean your bike to the right to swing the stand out.

I had the same problem. Put a nice fat gouge in my primary. Pretty deep too. Glad I caught it before it wore through.

I had the same problem. I moved the rubber stop on the frame and bent the loop on the stand enough to clear the primary when I put mine on.

I did the same with the rubber stop and loop. Just thought a picture would illustrate if that is would fix your particular issue...

Had that issue on my '07 StreetBob. I was able to move the rubber stop on the frame rail to cushion the stand. I also bent the hairpin end of the stand so your boot can find the stand w/out having to reach down w/ your hand. It all worked fine for me...
