MPG - stock/stage 1 vs cams/107 kit
Curious how much (if any) your mileage drops when putting in cams (say tw222 or 555's) and/or something like the fuel moto 107 kit?
Compared to a stock or stage 1 96cu bike.
Is it hugely noticeable?
I guess a normal dyna stage 1 gets like 280 k's to a tank. Whats that... like 180 miles?

It gets better with the 106 than stock did.
The engine does not work as hard. 60 and below I stay in 4th gear. It lugs if I don't.
When I am on the back roads my wife is taking photos so I stay close to the posted speed.
We live on a mountain so there are no red lights and only a couple of stop signs. for 20 miles.
It's 50 miles round trip to walmart. don't do interstate on the Dyna so I have no idea what it gets.
It is the quick take offs that gets your mileage.
I get 40-42 on my CVO 110 street glide loaded. Back roads that is.
Just remember I think I can, I think I can LOL

If your thinking about a 107 then why worry about gas? Like the others here hace said it depends on how aggressive you are with the throttle. Twisting full open uses a lot of gas --> a lot. Doesn't mean you can't ride fast, last year I was going to halifax and got 210 miles on a tank @ 80 mph on the highway, it was just like that on that day! And my sig pic is from that day only this was earlier in the day ( sight seeing ) The fuel consumption will not vary much from setup to setup, with a good tune as the Don pointed out!
