Default Lowering a Dyna?

I want to get some opinions on lowering a Dyna Street Bob. I am 5'6" and lowering the bike would help me when having to back it up and stuff. Will lowering the bike with lowering blocks where the lower shock mount moves back and creates more of an angle on the shocks hurt the handling of the bike?

The main thing its going to effect is the lean angles, the change in steering geometry is nothing to worry about. Getting a seat that's narrower in the front can also help.

The lean angle will be affected but if you have enough settings in the shocks you will be fine... depends on how much you weigh also...

I weigh about 160 and the wife also weighs about the same. I figured I would loose some lean angle. I will just have take life a little slower. I would like to get some better shocks like the JRI's but they are out of the budget for now. I am also looking into getting a corbin seat. they look a little narrower up by the tank so that might help too but I won't know until I get it.

Sure, they're the easiest and cheapest way to lower a bike...

Ynots,
Got my seat narrowed and lowered and pushed forward and it really helped. Got better shocks( Works) and got some heal rests on the front pegs that also really helped. If I had to buy bike over again would probably got mid controls.

Hey Roger...which model of Works shocks did you get? How much of a difference did they make? Have been looking on-line at Works, Ohlins, and Progressive, but haven't made a decision yet. What did you pay, and where did you buy from?
