Default Exhaust questions about 2013 Wide Glide

I just moved from the softail world into the Dyna world with my wife and our purchase of a new 2013 wide glide. Now I have a few questions in regards to pipes for it. I am looking for something with a deep note thats not insanely loud at idle but if you get on the volume control. I have been looking at Bassani and V&H. I am looking for shorter pipes like the short shots or the Pro-Streets. I would like something that I can replace the baffles if needed as well. I know some pipes weld their baffles in. Who has experience with these systems on a 103 and are there any others I should be looking at?

Looking through you the wide glide mod thread you will see the VH short shots are super popular. I'm sure you will get a few to chime in for you.

V&H short shot staggereds with Big City Thunder original monster baffles are just the ticket. Welcome to the glide side bro!

The best performance is going to be a 2-1 pipe. I think just about any 2-1 pipe will also give you the deepest lower exhaust over just about any 2-2. Short shots are not very good performing pipes but look good and will be a lot louder sounding because they are dumping out right at your ear.

I have the V&H propipe and love it.

Not really a fan of the looks of 2-1s. I know 2-2 will give me less performance but not really worried about that in a 103 motor.

Oh you will be in a few months...if you want to keep it 2-2 got the V&H big shots...they sound great and will perform very close to a 2-1

You don't like the look?

+1 on the V&H Big Shots. Not real loud at idle, but you'll know they're there, when ya twist the throttle. Plus you can change out the baffles.

My pal has the Pro-Streets on his '07 Night Train and they are freaking loud all the time. They sound bad ***, though...
