Default One very small step towards operation blackout

Decided to black out the battery cover with rustoleum hammered black to see how it works. It looks a lot like wrinkle black with a gloss to it. Think I'll use plastidip for the rest of the stuff. Over the next week or two I'm going to plastidip the fork lowers, front/rear turn signals, air cleaner cover, belt cover, triple trees, mirrors, and may strip the paint from the battery band and dip it. Anyway here's a pic of my very first attempt at painting.

Picked a Hell of time to start moddin.Haha..I think you would be happier with powder coating in the long run. It's surprisingly cheap.

yeah I'm definitely going to powder coat but I don't have a garage right now so when it's down for powder coating i have nowhere to safely put it. i'll have a garage this winter and I'm gonna send everything out for powder.

It looks good because it's different!

I saw a crotch rocket that a guy painted with that Rhino truck bed liner paint. I thought it looked great!

Joe is gonna be my guy for the winter thats for sure. truthfully i'm not sure how to take apart half the stuff on my bike let alone put it back together after. just did my rear turn signals with plastidip and they turned out ok, but i'm thinking that will be the last thing i do. powder is the way to go for me.
