Street Bob Front End Swap ... ????
So Im looking to go for the fat touring front tire, after riding my buddies FLH the other day with the 130 touring tire I am sold on getting a dual disk setup with a fat front tire on the bike. My bike has 700 miles on it and stops like a dump truck. So thats why I am looking to go with the dual disk and its a little twitchy at 80 + with the standard narrow tire and the fatty looks way cooler so thats that. Now do I buy a complete Fatboy front end and have it PCd black and modify the trees to fit the dyna, Or do I buy a Fatbob front end and swap it over ? Im looking for the most economical way to do this, which I would imagine to be just buying a wide 18" rim and lacing it to my current hub but Id really like to change that right leg out for a Fatbob leg with the second caliper mount.
Is is even possible to swap out just the right lower leg and still clear a wide tire and wheel with a street bob triple clamps ? Id rather leave that in tact if at all possible. Does anyone know how wide of a tire / wheel I could run on the stock streetbob width front end ? I need suggestions !! Does anyone know if someone sells a wide 19" front or how wide you can go on the stock 19 ? Thanks in advance !

gona need fat bob lowers, right caliper, rotor, master cylinder 11/16 bore, dual brake lines, do a search of these forums its been done numerous times.
for part numbers use ronniesharleydavidson online parts finder, get the part number then go to newcastlehd.comnonline shopping.
for example fat bob lowers msrp retail for $150 each. at newcastlehd.com they are $90 each i think they sell the caliper for $130, i know newcastlehd is cheaper than surdyke.com on most items. can always get used parts on ebay, but wont save to much compared to newcastle
not sure about your wheel situation.
i think the fatboy front end swap may turn into a nightmare, maybe not just seems like lots of work
