Default Bang for the buck question??

Where did you see the greatest PERFORMANCE bang for the buck?

1-Slipons, download and new AC with backing plate.
2- Same as above but with complete new exhaust system instead of Slipons
3- Add new Cams to # 2 above.

Assuming #2 and #3 will include Dyno tuning.

I did exhaust (all new) then jetted and added a heavy breather intake, but by far the biggest gain was in the cams. I just put in a fueling gear drive kit with 525 cams, it rides like a different bike. I did the gear drive myself not a big deal at all.

If u can afford it, best bang for ur buck would be cams, exhaust, stage 1 a/c, programmer and dyno tune all at once. If u do it in steps u won't feel the power as much between each mod.

No question. The cams are the critical element, but they do their thing much better with a pipes, intake and a tune.

Default Cams, cams

I went to my trusted and long standing local shop for advice and he said the cams are the key. In addition, he said if I do the cams later on I will be paying twice for the tuning as well as remove and replace the pipes.

Best bang for the buck, leave it stock and buy a Boss Hoss if you want to race away from a stoplight.
