There are a few threads you can search on this site but here is the best setup:

Ricor intimidators, 5w shock therapy fork oil, single rate spring made for your weight.
(the stock springs are a progressive type spring)
Once you do this mod and get the proper sag set, it will be a night and day difference.
I just put the ricor intimidators with the stock spring and it is much better then stock.

That solution covers up the problem but does not solve it. But like you said, you like a stiff suspension and that is what you will end up with. Not the best if you like the twisties.

Traxxion Dynamics is the only company who builds a custom single rate spring for the 49mm. Companies like Race Tech and Progressive only offer a progressive rate spring in the stock weight of .98Kg

You are a funny fella rooti, I think I have plenty of experience riding "twisties" considering I spent 20 years blasting mountains on bikes a tad more advanced than a Harley........

The problem with the 49mm forks is they are antiquated damper forks.....The only real fix is to get new forks, have a cartridge conversion done by Howard, or buy a different bike with real forks on it.

ONE of my other bikes.....

We are talking about a dyna here, not a sport bike. So your 20 years on sport bikes really don't mean **** as far as this converstaion goes. The ricor intimidators or the other recommendations I made are not my invention. The intimidators have been done by hundreds of people on here with the 49mm forks on a dyna. I have tried thicker fork oil and proper sag and although they feel better they slow down the rebounding of the forks.

Will it be as good as your suzuki....hell no, it's not that type of bike. But it will be a huge improvement over your set up. Unless you've tried it, you won't know.

We all don't have multiple bikes and want the best of both worlds out of the one that we have. So if your happy with your sluggish front end on your dyna then so be it. You can always hop on the suzuki if you want to do more then cruizing.
