Default First Harley and I need advice

I bought a 2013 Fat Bob and the stock pipes are quiet. I want louder pipes and have been looking at the Thunderheader exhaust(for performance and sound) just was looking for anyone who has this on their bike and wondered if it was a big improvement or not. Thanks

Default Thunerheader

They will be my next set of pipes. I have V & H now and they are ok. I am waiting for the full shield like the Touring version instead of the 3 piece which I think kinda sucks. One friend had his sherma chromed and he seems to like it.

A lot of people really like the Thunderheader. They do sound good. I'm not a big fan of the shape. The finish isn't real good. Every one I see in person is rusty or faded.

I have the same exhaust as you and I like the sound. I've heard the thunderheader is real loud.

TH is only loud when you whack that throttle.

My bud has a v&h competition pipe 2-1. It hangs low but seems to make awesome power and sounds killer. Very expensive though. He has a '12 fat bob

How much power would I lose if I got V&H short shots?

So you think V&H short shots would be a better option?
