Default Need to sissify my clutch

So, 2300 km as a new rider on the FXDF, and from the last few long rides, my left arm and wrist are in pain and I've got the tinglies in the thumb and first three fingers. In short, carpal tunnel syndrom raising it's ugly head. It's not the vibrations per se, the right side endures them fine, and while riding, I had enough strength and endurance to pull the clutch lever whenever neccessary. Above mentioned problems start after the ride and wake me up at night with quite a bit of pain. The one time I could avoid these complications I was riding with double gloves, the lower pair being MTB downhill gel gloves. So, that's one solution. The 1000 mile inspection is coming up (a bit late, I know) and I'd like the shop to reduce the pullback force on the clutch lever while they're at it. Is this very involved? Can I do it myself, perhaps?

Harley sells a reduced effort kit for the clutches. You can install it yourself if you have some mechanical aptitude. We installed one on the neighbors 03 Heritage, night and day difference.

The reduced effort clutch kit only fits 99-05 bikes.

You could get an AIM variable pressure clutch. VP84T, it will pull like butter at low RPMs and have the added benefit of more grabbing power the more you rev

This is the best option. The HD version, which doesn't fit your bike anyway, loses performance with higher torque engines, especially modded engines.

Both easy to install and they give excellent results: only one finger needed to pull the clutch lever now!
