i know it is 1" shorter than stock tire and it is .800" wider than stock tire.
that would make it 13/32" wider on each side. i dont see where it would be a problem but i could be wrong.
what i would like to know is has anyone done this and did it work?
It can be done. Most sport bike styles are almost 5 lbs lighter than a stock 160 and endless nice sticky choices. Since the wheel is a little narrow it will sound off on the sides a little. I had a 190/50 on my stock wheels for a while
That is what I had on our wide glide, it did good but very low mileage. I added a 180/60/17 of the same tire. I like it a lot better. The 55 series tire will beat you to death. I scraped a lot with the 55 but not with the 60.
Just a thought.
