Default Highway Bars on a Street Bob with Forward Controls

I am wanting to pick up a highway bar for my Street Bob so I can mount some highway pegs. Looking at this one and wanted to insure there would be no fitment issues with forward foot controls.

Anyone have this bar? Or can assure its an doable install without major modification?

Thanks all.

I always wondered the same thing. Or how it would look.

Default fitment

pretty easy to figure out, click on product fitment on jp cycles. check and see what the crash bar fits as far as bikes. you will see it fits fatbobs, wide glides, and switch backs.....all those 3 models come standard with forward controls....then look at the harley forward control kit for dynas...and you will see it fits all dynas ie..wide glide, fxdb, fxdl, fxdb, fxd, etc...

so now we know that the street bob, uses the same forward control kit that comes stock on the fat bob and wide glide

so it appears that the crash bar you want will fit your street bob, just a few mins of research and some cross referencing and you have your answer.

short response is if it fits wide glides or fat bobs it will fit a street bob with forwards.

Default Connection conflict

I had thought of doing this myself in the past. I think you will run into an issue with both the bars and the forward controls needing to mount into the same place on your frame! I think that if the bars mounting bracket either mounts above or below the mounting point, you could pull it off. Every bar set that I looked at for my bike had a mouting bracket that was in the way of the forward control mount. If someone out there found the perfect combination of the two, I'd love to hear about it.

Took me a little longer,(added longer bolts to ease the fitment). But pretty straight forward.
