Default 2004 FXDLi programmer?

Hi guys almost done with the rebuild on my 04 lowrider, im looking at a programmer and ive got advice all the way from remap to powervision to thundermax, and i was wondering if any work better then the other. Also i noticed my bike has no O2 sensors and i was wondering if that makes any difference on the tuner to buy?

All of those are good. "The Best" will be the one that fits your budget, offers adjustibility in the areas your interested in, and has good support.

Well, if you buy a tuner that requires the use of the O2's for closed loop feedback?

Sorry im new to the EFI world on bikes, (all carb before) I just bought some V&H short shots and im not sure if they have the O2 ports or not, (V&H website didnt specify) I would like to be able monitor/download the history to check for issues/performance etc, the systems with O2's in them are pretty spendy 800+

ok so i have a new question after doing some research. Since my lowrider does not have O2's now will the stock ECM accept aftermarket ones? Or will i have to get an ECM replacment unit with O2's such as the thundermax?

Your OE ECM "is what it is". So if it doesn't already use O2's, and you want closed loop feedback via O2's, you will have to buy/plan for it.

Yeah its EFI, just no o2's, they didnt add the O2's until 2006 on the lowriders. I called fuelmoto and spoke with them and it looks like the best idea would be the thundermax since its an ECM replacement with O2's, now i just need to get my exhaust ready to accept O2's

Your friendly neighborhood muffler shop should be able to fix you right up.
