Default dyna exhaust compatibility 2009 fat bob

the tab that connects the rear muffler ( stock) to the mounting bracket cracked on my 2009 fatbob. so i've got to replace ( or weld a new tab on) the exhaust.

from what i can tell all the aftermarket exhausts seem to indicate that all 2006-2011 exhausts are interchangeable.

so the would a takeoff from a 2010 wide glide mount up directly or would i need new mounting brackets.

im thinking it might be better off just replacing the whole thing with some propipes. but i was hoping to hold off till my bonus came in.

You should be ok - the late-model FBs and WGs share many common exh parts because of the HD 2-1-2 Tommy Gun system, including the muffs and rear mounting bracket.

As has already been stated, the parts are the same. I did the same thing on my '09 Fat Bob that had V&H Side Shots on it when I bought it. The later FXDF & FXDWG exhaust do come with a converter in the head pipe. I'm getting ready to change the exhaust again as my header pipe has cracked in a couple of spots and I don't feel like re-welding it.

Welding a tab is a lot cheaper than a new exhaust. I broke a mounting tab, clamp and the main bracket on mine 5000 miles ago
