do other riders of Harley look smoother running than your bike?
I often get my bike up to 75mph on the freeways and a couple times there was other Harleys wheezing by. These were softails...as no visible shocks on their bikes. Anyway my bike sort of vibrates a little when I am doing 75mph but this is because this is a Dyna without screen to ward off the wind. But so ifs the other Softail (custom or Road king etc) bike but yet it seems to be smoother riding than mine going 80mpg.
I am wondering if its my shock that is so-so? After riding a few times with my son my bike seem to bottom out on some of the bumps so I read the manual and shock to setting 4 (was initially set to 1!!!) and it seem to not bottom out any more but I am going to set my shocks to 5.
I think my shocks may be the culprit in the bike vibrating more at high speed. But its not so bad but when looking at other bikes wheezing by do you think maybe all bikes vibrate just that you cannot see them vibrate when they are riding by?

It would help to know what the age and model of your Dyna is, how many miles on it.
Where do you feel the vibration- bars, pegs, seat, etc.? Check your tire pressures, condition of tires, especially cupping, any loose spokes. Could also be the front motor mount, but look at the other stuff first.

My bike is way smoother with the new tires. The original tires were fine when new but got worse over time. The new Commander II's are supposed to be a better tire. My suspension is stock and seems fine to me except for the hard bumps. They can hurt a little. It does ride smoother with the wife on back. Never have adjusted the shocks.
