Curious if any one has installed a Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing on a FXDB? I've got a few long trip planned next year and I want a fairing to make the ride a bit more comfy. Dennis Kirk sales a model that says it fits my bike but I've also got 14" apes. Just wondering if I'll run into any issues.

The apes might be an issue at all...brother iPod mine out one on his street bob. .....had to make a few mods along the way but its never fell off or vibrated loose yet lol.

Here's what I did with mine. I dont really see why the apes would have an issue depending on how vertical you have them. For reference, my bars measure 13" from top to bottom.

 

Hmmm, you got me thinking about that too. My gut said you shouldn't have any issues but my gut isn't always right. I found another one on here with more traditional apes and it looks as though you'd be fine.

Thanks for the input guys. The fairings look sick on the SB. My bars measure 14 from the bottom of the bar to the peak of the bend out at the top. I couldnt imagine not being able to make a tweak here or there with the mounting If needed. I think it would be a sweet set up for trips.
