Default Black levers question. How well does the black hold up?

I am about to switch out my mirrors and levers and want to go black. But I was worried That from the oils and acid from ur hands the black on the levers will brake down quickly.

So to anyone that has black levers, how well have they held up for you?, how long have u had them roughly?, and what brand?

I've read a few guys having problems with the black wearing off of some black hand grips. This is why I'm asking.

Thanks guys.

I've had the Harley black slotted hand and foot levers since my W/G was new. No problems as of yet. I've got over 6k on it.

You can always pull em off and touch them up if they do fade/discolor.

Just tryin to get some insight on what people are having good/bad luck with before I make my purchase. Don't wanna have to touch up 3 times a season.

I had the HD black levers on my bike for 10K miles. When I took them off and sold them the finish was good as new.

Glad u popped in and said that. Never thought of it. Might just wait til this winter and do that cause I have a few other things I want to do as well.

Gonna get in touch with ya later in about a month or so to get some pricing together if you don't mind.
