The frame is a Santee rubber mount Featherbed twinspar road race frame designed by John Reed. Its know as the John Reed V-bike. any one familiar with this frame & know its rake ? I'm looking to purchase the frame, From what I've researched only abt. 500 of these frames were ever made. and only 5 exist one the w.coast. What would something like this be worth w/paper wrk. Thanx

 

Hmmm...I just saw this thread. I'm not sure what the frame is worth but if you figure the cost of a typical new builder frame at about $2000 plus swing arm I would guess something in the neighborhood of $1500-$2200.

This would make a pretty cool platform for a Hot Rod bike powered by either a 120R an S&S 132, or V-Rod motor with the fiberglass FXR full faring I brought up in this thread:
