Default Added a Air Cleaner and Exhaust, without a tune. Safe to ride?

I just added a Kury Mach 2 with my already installed Short Shots exhaust.

I plan on get a tuner next week, I just want to make sure I am safe to ride it this week. Would I be harming anything riding it a day or two without the tuner?

I have read that you have to have one, also heard other people say that the computer on the fuel injected model will work with this combination.

Just wanted to get a sure answer.

You will probably get a lot of people telling you to not ride it because its running too lean but if you take it out for a test ride and it runs smooth, I would say it would be ok to ride it for a couple days until you get a tuner. Plenty of people out there running similar set ups like what you have with no tuners and they are fine.

you can get away with it but know the bike is going to run leaner than usual. the stock computer can only compensate so much.

What can you offer as proof for your statement?

check your plugs every 100 miles or so, if they aren't turning white it won't be bad.as said take it easy, and ride safe.

Here is the only sure answer: You make enough mods to an engine that you change the way it runs, then you need to change the tune to compensate. I'm not sayin this for reasons of horsepower and torque. I'm sayin more for reasons of engine operation and efficiency. You see all these guys telling you "Ya it'll be fine. Just take it easy and don't get it too hot". They all know. You want proof? You'll have to talk to a certified mechanic. But he is just going to tell you to tune it.
