this is just sad... the wheels are sick, new paint options are sick, finally blacked out parts from the factory that should have been... and then they reach into their bag of tricks and copy an 80's FZR tail section... the guy that came up with this must have designed mailboxes in the 80's and not understood what a MOTORCYCLE is... so sad
I don't understand why they didn't just go with the fender off the current Wide Glide. Lots of people do that swap anyways and I think it looks great on the Fat Bob.
The sad part is this isnt just one guys call. They had a meeting and went over multiple designs, and actually voted on this as being their best choice.
I'm sure they were thinking "ok we need to try something new, something that will grab people's attention"

I think they have painted themselves in a corner with the "bob" theme so there is only so much you can do like, Cut off a full fender, flare a full fender, chop a full fender, and... Well as you can see, you sorta run out of options here. Personally with the limited choices available I would have simply taken the old design, ditch the flared end and rolled the edge under like a '50's Frenched headlights then install some sort of blacked out LED taillight. I think they also should incorporate the turn signals similar to what I did with the Alloy Arts frenching them into the struts.
