Default Right knee rubbing against the air filter, Wide Glide

Any suggestions on how to solve this on the recent model Wide Glides?
I guess either move the break pedal out about 2- 3" (haven't seen a product for this) or get a narrower air filter. What say you?
The constant rubbing against the air filter is killing my knee after a few minutes.

I solved it by replacing the AC with the HD Heavy Breather. Helped big time!
This pic is when I was measuring seat position, but you get the idea.

Moves the AC forward and gives more clearance
Also, try a different seat. My C&C Sport Tour adds another 3/4" clearance

This is on a Fat Bob, but the idea is the same

I run DK customs AC and my leg clears it and I got the bigger filter. They also sell a little filter. My last AC my knee hit.

Thanks fellrs for this excellent information.
It's going to help a lot.
Interesting that Harley doesn't seem to have the need to "fix" this.
I guess enough people must be happy with the original setup.
Thanks again.

Fairly common problem. My Fat Bob was un-rideable until I fixed it.

For me it was a combination of things needed. I fitted an S&S teardrop air cleaner, which moved the outer edge of the cover inward about 1". I fitted 1" peg extenders. I put a Kuryakin Longhorn extended brake pad on. I also bent the rear brake arm out about 1/2" by brute force.

Short of bending the brake arm I did the same as Foxter. When I bought the bike it already had the S&S teardrop air filter and I replaced me stock seat with a Mustang vintage wide but it had no effect on this problem. After everything else it was the Kuryakin peg extenders that made the difference for me.

I wore the emblem off the oem AC with my knee. Never bothered me though.

I bought this Fat Bob with RSD Turbine A\C and it is in the way, no doubt about it....My temp fix was to get extended front pegs. These help when riding, but I still have to reach my leg around the A\C to break.
Next year I plan to get a lower profile or forward facing A\C.

Second the slant AC from Roland Sands. Look pretty cool also, works even better.
