Default new cams or 95inch bore, which to do first

hi.
I have a 2001 dyna super glide, 88. I bought it a couple of months ago and love it.
I am just planning my winter strip down and that will include new paint, a wide glide front end, and a few other cosmetics.
that takes care of most of my budget,
I would like to fit new cams and have it bored out to 95 ins, sadly I cant afford both right now so my question is what one to do first, which one would give me the most bang for my buck, so to speak.
as money becomes available I will also have some head work done as I am told the stock 88 heads dont breath well and can benefit from bigger valves.
all in good time.
so what do you sugest, cams first or the 95 inch bore.
thanks steve.

Cams and go for a gear drive conversion if you can afford it. S&S 510 gear conversion gives very good results.

If staying with tensioners then go for Screamin' Eagle 203's.

95 Big Bore doesn't really do anything but add an inch to your dick and it puts the motor to nearly square (bore x stroke) not that you'd really notice the difference but I am a long stroke fan.

I just put 203's and a 95 big bore along with a head job onto a Road King for a customer, he has been priapic ever since

I did cams last year, big bore this year, heads this winter. Not the cheapest route to go but is the way I gotta do it.

I installed the S&S es583 cams in my stock engine. Runs a lot better. You will need to consider a tuner. My next upgrade may be the S&S 97 with head work or maybe just the heads. I do my own work so I have to do a lot of research before starting. Machinist background and drag racing a corvette helps but Harley's are new to me. If you put long duration cams in a stock compression engine you will be disappointed. I went for low to mid rang power so the cams I picked work great with stock engine and will work better with further upgrades.

Note, the 583 has too much lift for your valve springs so something with less lift would be a good idea.

No matter which way you go, you have to make sure the components you choose work with each other.Different cams need specific compression to work right. If you get cams that work with your stock bore they may not function too well when you do a big bore. Choose wisely.

SE 203 if using tensioners, S&S .510 if using gear drive...you won't be sorry.

I just installed the SE 203 not even a month ago on a stage 1 88, I like this cam, when 2 up it pulls hard and can stay ahead of the other stage 1 88 even though I am 2 up, I have no need for the 95 at this point
