mustang hands down! had a sundowner and it sits you up too high and too far forward, plus i think the mustang is more comfortable. imo get one with a backrest option weather you think you want it or not cuz once you try it you will love it for long trips. nice looking dyna by the way

I have both and I like the mustang wide touring a lot better. The sundowner I have (1pc./2 up) is comfy but fugly and it sat me higher and closer to the tank. The mustang is also narrower in front making it much easier to move the bike around when sitting

I just did 500 miles TODAY on the wide touring with backrest. It is great. Buy one and never look back

I have the sundowner on my 13 WG for me and the wife. Did 1100 miles on it back in July for a Rally and never had a single issue. If you are not doing a lot of 2 up then the mustang would probably be best as the Sundowner is rather big and bulky.

My Mustang wide Vintage will be in tomorrow, so can't talk too much about it yet. The first seat I tried to upgrade to was the Sundowner, I hated the riding position it put me in, all wrong for the dyna FB. One other point on the SD is that it was so plush I lost feel for the bike, probably okay for mostly highway use but I ride the back roads.
From everything I've read the Mustang wide Vintage puts the rider in better position and is more comfortable.....looks a hell of a lot better on the bike too.

Have a Mustang vintage solo, used it for years and love it. I wanted a backrest so I went with the wide vintage and I love that even more.
They feel like they sit a little higher and a little further back.

Don't bother with the wide day tripper with backrest if you truly want to be comfortable for touring....it just isn't as comfortable.
