Just installed mine (stage 1) and wanted to clarify whether or not you use the original backplate (my guess is no) and what you did with the wire that plugs into the back of the oem backplate.

 

No you don't use the original back plate.
That wire is for European models or something.
I ziptied it out of the way.

 

I didn't think so, I'm sure ill get used to it but I kept the original teardrop shaped cover on there and it looks weird with nothing behind it. And yeah that wire didn't look like it did much. Thanks for the info.
