Default Seat advice

Got a 2000 FXDX. Stock seat feels like it cramps me up on the bars. Looking for a two up seat that will move me back on the bike and keep the look of the stock seat. Any advice would be appreciated.

C&C Fastback will move you back and down, and is super comfortable. Not the most passenger-friendly seat, though - about the same as the stock seat in that regard.

For passenger comfort, the Sundowner tops the list in the opinion of my passenger.

I've got the fastback on mine also. Comfortable to me but on longer rides not so much for my wife. Check on the c&c sport tour 2up. Ive got a sundowner also for planned long trips and heckfrozeover is right, its hard to beat the comfort. Just ugly as hell on my bike

Call Mean City Cycles (www.meancitycycles.com) and talk to them. They will take your stock seat and reconfigure it with memory foam and gel to fit your needs. Less expensive than a new seat and a great option if you like the looks of your stock seat. Just got mine back from them and so far so good.

That's a great option, and one I had considered for my own bike. Unfortunately, I called MCC and they told me the most they could move me back modifying my FXDX seat was about 1/2". Very limited position movement via modification with the stock FXDX seat.

If Black Train is cramped too close to the bars, I think a different seat will be needed.
