Default Squeezing a Bad G Customs in w/ a WG side mount licenseplate?

I really like the DL02BL bag and but i'm not entirely sure i can get away with squeezing in it behind the Wide Glide stock side mount license plate holder. I'd prefer it over the DL03BL version. Anybody do this with out doing a lic plate relo?

I can tell you it wouldn't fit with the stock SB side plate, which occupies the same space as yours.

Before I moved my plate to the rear, I had it on the left axle nut and that was enough space for the Bad&G bag. I never ended up buying the right side bag, but when I asked Greg if one would fit, he said to take the right side bag and flip it over, then hold up to the left side and see where it fell. It sat just above my plate and the angle of the bag kept it visible. If you want to keep the side plate, I think you'll have to move it there and go horizontal to get the bag to fit.

His bags are somewhat adjustable in where they mount, too. You can move them higher, lower, fore or aft by an inch or two all around since it straps on to the fender strut and lower swing arm.

I used the cycle visions horizontal in-close kit which is heavy-freaking-duty and never scraped.

PM me if you want a good deal on a used one.

Under the Dyna section on his website, last picture is actually a pic of my bike. I had my buddy fab a plate to move my license plate back to fit the larger bag. If you have the tools (or like me, a friend who has the tools) it is a very simple mod. The larger bag will NOT fit without relocating the license plate.

Both of you have beautiful bikes. I have the battery box bag sitting in my garage for about 9 months and just can't seem to get to it. I have the horizontal plate holder and hate it, should have gotten the vertical...been stopped 3 times because it folded closed.
Again, really nice job on your ride.

Check out Leather Pros. They have what you are looking for. You will have to call them and ask for a license plate relocation kit.

I have the exact BAD&G bags that you have in that first picture on both sides of my bike. You need to look at the last picture on BAD&G's site for the relocation. I made the same type of bracket they show only thicker. Took 10 minutes. Two tapped holes and two through holes. USE HEAT when unbolting from the factory location!!! They use some kind of cement on the bolts that will not let loose without the heat and it'll take you twice as long if you don't.

I love the bags, can fit my leather jacket in one side and chaps in other side (barely). Anything smaller for the solo bags won't fit.

One last thing. When you oder them, have them put a couple snaps in the front edge of the flap. They catch wind and pull open. Going to take them off this winter and have a shoe store add them.
