I've had the harley flamed heated grips on my ride for a few years now and they've stopped working, I heard 3 years is about all you get out of them which sucks, so I've been looking up options, heat demon is one and I also found they have an external heat system which wraps around the outside of the bar then you put on your grip over top. Has anyone done this? Also, I want to keep my flamed grips , will a heated style like heat demons work with my not working heated grips? for for all the questions but we're the riders we seem to know best.

Heating the bars will be less efective than just heating the grips themselves.

 

Had to chuckle at the irony of heated and flamed grips.
