The manual says "Cam position sensor and crank position sensor timing"

What I don't understand is what I have to do to fix the fault. It had a new cam position sensor 2000 miles ago.

 

I found the answer....code 56 is why H-D dropped the separate cam position sensor as hard engine braking or a kick back on start up can trigger the code...the code basically tells you that the ECU thinks the motor is running backwards....

 

How did you figure out what code your bike was throwing? Does it flash "56" at start up? Thanks!

 

Any fart in the engine, a back fire or bad start will cause a code 56
Disconnect negative battery cable for reset
When a code is triggered it does not immediately mean something must be changed.
