Talking Street Bob 107ci build w/pictures

I have been talking about 107ci for a while, finally had it installed last friday. I am not going through details since Fuelmoto youtube videos have everything you need to know from start to finish. Removal is easy, took me an hour to stripe everything down. Did a full inspection, the old pistons, jugs, rockers are still in good sharp. I got the 107ci kit and a set of wood lifters from FM. I also have manual compression release installed, a local shop charged $90 for both heads, reasonable! Couple of compression release stainless valves from TP and a set of gaskets. Installation isn't hard, the only difficulty is getting the snap ring on the piston, it is so hard. I have tried so many times, popping in and out and lost one on the floor. Took me an hour to find it lol, kind of **** me off.
Install the cylinders, popsicle sticks did the trick but you have to get a little used to, still took me almost an hour to install 2 jugs. Everything else is easy and straight forward, no surprise. I didn't install the wood lifters, people tell me if I don't have noise with stock lifters, save them for the future.
My first impression at start up, compression release made a huge difference, it starts up in just 2 revs, you don't even hear the starter winding. Did the heat cycle 4 times and build up heat, road test the bike next day and keep the rpms under 2,500rpm. The next day I put another 150 miles, it runs like a top. I cannot really tell the power difference until I fully break in the motor, I will be patience. FM canned map is close, no hesitation or decel pop, I have ran a few autotune pro sessions, smooth like butter. I have to wait till I pass the break in period to do a full autotune session. After all, I am pretty happy, save a lot of money doing it at my work. More importantly, it is always fun to do your own wrenching.

awesome pics and I think a 107 is a good choice for good performance without sacrificing cruisability.
