Default using solo and 2 up seat

for changing seats, I use a solo with a rack most of the time and would like to be able to use the 2 up seat on occasions, what do you use to protect the fender in the back under the rear of the seat, do you put something on the seats so when you change back to the solo the fender is clean ? if so what do you use. this is on a fdx so the solo seat is standard, and the other seat would be the optional seat. looked at the bumper kit but think there must be better options.

I use he little bumper pads on my pillion but I stuck them to the underside of seat instead of the fender. Works good for me.

The factory sells a cargo rack that has a seat option that mounts to the rack. You can even have a sissy bar on it too. That's what in use. I even have a leather tour pack that I mounted to a second seat base that I can attach to the cargo rack. My solo seat is a Mustang wide vintage.

I have a fender Bib, the seat rests on that, It looks quite good even when the solo seat is on with the rack. If you look closley in the pic you can just make it out

I had the same issue with mine. What I did is had the local leather shop glue some thin rubber pad to the bottom of my 2-up seat to give the fender some protection. Worked great. You could also get some spray adhesive and put a double layer of felt on the bottom of your 2-up, I have a buddy that did that to his and it seems to work as well. I like the rubber pad because it keeps the seat from shifting when the passenger moves around.

Same here. Harley instructions said to put them on the fender but on the seat works perfect
