Here I go again, bought a Super Glide
Well I have been working on buying another cruiser for a while, and then supplementing it with a enduro for canyon carving around here. I have always loved HD and have had two HD's in the past, first an 02 Lowrider I bought new and did the 95" to, then my last the 91 FXR I rebuilt from the ground up with an S&S 113, speed and all fxlr tins. I went back to school at age 36 4 years ago and had to sell that labor of love
I tried quite a few new bikes, rode a new Softail Slim , a Victory Crossroads, and a couple of Triumphs, Storm and regular T-bird, and really liked the Triumph, but did not love it..although my bike while I was HD Less was a Triumph Tiger........and the fact that I am a modaholic and there are limited options for the Bird led me back to HD.........and also the fact that you can find a few year old Superglide for half the price of a new bike means I have money left over for mods and and an enduro! Plus I know HD pretty much inside/out and can do the work/mods myself
I found this one on CL of course, an 08 Superglide with very few but ok mods, Vance and Hines slip ons, Passenger seat and pegs, Forward controls, K&N, and dyno tuned, including a pro SERT with software and a service manual......
And it has 824 miles on it.......... it looks brand new, says he has never ridden it outside town, and kept it covered in his garage with reciepts for yearly oil changes at the dealer- heck he says he has never even washed it, and there are only a couple bugs to be found on the front.
Modding this will be my winter time project, ordered some bars and risers today! Here it is next to my 69 Roadrunner
