Question Reverse for 2013 Street Bob

Was thinking about reverse gear as advertised in American Iron.

Has any one had any experience with the brands available.

It is worth it and is it easy to engage. What about the installation.

A friend of mine has an OEM reverse on his Gull Wing and loves it. Of course its a much heavier bike, but it would make it so much easier on parking.

Would appreciate members advise.
Thanks,
Roger

Seems a bit extreme, a Dyna isn't that heavy

You ever pull into a spot and then realize you messed up and are a little down hill on gravel with no way to get out. DOPE!

I've got a buddy with reverse on his Road King and he doesn't use it often but when he does use it he loves it ... Especially when he has his Bushtec Roadstar trailer loaded for bear.

it's one of those things that you'll probably never use but if you do need it it would be great to have

Tough crowd. This is a reasonable question, nothing wrong with wanting reverse on a scooter - for what ever reason.

I think the reverse on your friend's GW is electric (probably the starter motor in a different mode?). The HD trike has an electric reverse. There are some gear driven reverse conversions available for Harley's.

Seems to be about the same as needing the ol' lady to push the bike out of the parking spot.

Just sayin'...

You should've given this precious information earlier, before we idiots spent the money to install RGs on our bikes!
