Default From Softail to Dyna

Hello Guys

Last year I traded my 2007 Street Bob in for a 2005 Softail Deluxe and I have been riding the Deluxe for 2 seasons now. The Deluxe is a really cool bike and have great looks and rides well too. It has a lot of comfort with detachable bags, windshield and all the extras in chrome parts etc.

But something is bothering me though. I can't get my old Street Bob out my head. I miss the power and handling of the Street Bob but I also love the looks of my Deluxe (it's the one in my sig pic).

Now I am really considering Trading the Deluxe in for the new 2014 Street Bob with the 103 CUI engine but my worries is that I'm afraid of regretting it. I wish I could afford both but I can't. Most of the time I ride only myself and when I ride 2up it's one of my kids on the back. The old lady doesn't like riding

Need some advice and opinions here I know that I am the only one WHO can decide but it's always nice to hear second opinions.

I'd be hard pressed to swap off the Deluxe. Looks pretty sweet to me.

Sounds like you'd be in an endless cycle of buyers remorse. .save up and get a used street bob. Then you can mess with one in the garage while you ride the other.

I would keep the Deluxe because that color, those whitewalls, and the mix of chrome looks fantastic.

I have a Dyna and a Softail, and if I was to get rid of either one and keep the other, I'd have regrets.

In other words, there is no regret-free solution, so might as well keep what you have.

Apart from the Road Glide, I've found Dyna's to be the most enjoyable of the models to ride. Which is why I went with the super glide. More comfortable, better handling. I think the softails LOOK better but I do love my Dyna. Next bike will be a bagger of some sort though. I hate not having bags and putting them on a Dyna almost ruins the looks IMO

I used to own a Street Bob, I now have a Deluxe. I do miss the Street Bob sometimes. I would really like to order one through the HD1 program, denim black, forward controls, chrome laced wheels, chrome engine trim, mini apes.

I miss every bike I have moved on from. Goes for guns too.... they are always better when you don't have them anymore. I would keep the bike you have until you get tired of it, doesn't sound like that is the case yet. Then you can ride something else and start missing the Deluxe! LOL
