Default Looking for a SHORT sissy bar.

I've got an FXDL (2003 - see sig pic). With the badlander seat... I want a SHORT sissy bar. basically a bump stop to keep my lady from sliding off the back. I hate the look of backrests but I seem to remember seeing one at some point that wasn't much more than the pad sticking above the back of the seat.

Any ideas?

You can get a quick detachable one in 5 different sizes from hd

TALL
LOW
MEDIUM LOW
SHORT
MINI

I opted for the medium low to give the ol something to lean on and I can attach a bag to it

And if the Wide Glide mini bar fits on your bike they make a slip-over pad for it too. Would probably fit your requirements quite well - if it fits.

i did the same thing on my streetbob....absolutely love the way it looks and it really is funtional. most times i ride with just a solo seat and it makes it look like a little spoiler back there. once i add the passenger pillion it fits perfectly and gives that little bit of a backstop for all those wonderful female rumps!

I'm kinda curious what sort of tinkering it's going to take to make it fit my '03

they bolt to the rear strut piece. looking at your bike, and thinking about dyna's in general, i'm not sure they have changed on the strut piece, have they?

not sure. could be width differences, hole locations, etc. We'll see I guess
