I was told that I will need to do a valve adjustment on my bike but don't know the intervals of which to do this. HD shows them as being hydraulic so then what are they saying? If they are hydraulic then they don't need to be done.

any help as I have yet to purchase a manual for the bike and will be doing this as well as my oil change myself, im just over 3600 miles on it.

Whoever told you that you need to adjust your valves is full of crap. They don't need adjusting.

Even if you don't have service manual, the owners handbook that comes with the bike will tell you what services are needed and at what intervals. You can get one from HD if it didn't come with the bike.

Meanwhile, until you get the manual, ask your questions here. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in your "source".

Your source is not very accurate.
You are correct with hydralics there is no adjustment.
The push rods are a set length and there is no adjustment if you wanted to.
